Messages & Errors

New registration error: 'User already exists'

There are 2 possible reasons for this:

  1. You may already be a registered user on CloudApp, one of CloudAfrica’s other products. If so, you may log in with the same credentials and do not need to re-register on BigStorage.
  2. You may have been registered before, and have perhaps just forgotten the password? If so, you may use the “Forgot Password” option to reset it.

What does: 'You are on the free tier, you can upgrade your account by filling in your credit card details here' mean?

There are 2 basic product tiers to select from, described here

When you have just registered, we start you off on the Free Storage Tier by default. However, this tier has some limitations.  The message is intended as a reminder, and to give you a quick way of upgrading to the Paid Storage Tier, by simply clicking on the word “here” in the message.

When you add credit card details to your Account, you will automatically be upgraded to the paid tier, able to create more buckets and access more security keys - you will never see that message again.

What does this message mean: 'Your profile information is incomplete, please complete it'

When you have just registered, and have not yet completed your personal information on the Profile page, the message is displayed as a reminder to do so.

Select the link (in the message itself) to go to the appropriate Profile form.
